I thought Apple sent out a firmware that “bricks” your I-phone if you try to unlock it. I also thought you are on a contract with AT&T when you purchase these phones.

A colleague of mine recently unlocked his iPhone and immediately lost a wealth of onboard features. In my opinion, people who want the features without the forced network allegance should buy into a competitive Smartphone and get over the hype and brand envy that Apple have generated in recent years.

A spokesman of the company who developed the iPhone unlock promised a tool which will restore the iPhone to factory-fresh state.
